Waxing

A quick and effective treatment to wave bye bye to stubble and say hello to silky smooth skin!

Legs/chest/back…

The area to be waxed is sanitised, then warm wax is applied and removed with paper wax strips.

At the end of the treatment a soothing and cooling after wax lotion will be applied. This will help to prevent irritation or infection.

Smaller areas…

A choice of warm or hot wax to the smaller more sensitive areas. Hot wax is more beneficial to use in areas where the hair is shorter and coarser, it grabs onto the hair and not the skin making it less abrasive to the skin. Areas will be sanitised prior to application of wax and a soothing, cooling after lotion applied following hair removal.

Aftercare Advice.

 

Follow the aftercare advice to ensure you get the best from your treatment and your skin is cared for.

  • Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction for the first 24 hours

  • Do not take a hot bath or shower after waxing, if necessary bathe in lukewarm water

  • No saunas, hot tubs or steam rooms for 24-48 hours

  • No tanning, sunbeds, exposure to the sun or spray tans for 24 hours

  • Avoid scratching or touching the area with unwashed hands

  • Wear clean, loose fitting clothes after the treatment

  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools for 24 hours

  • Do not apply deodrants, body sprays, powder, perfumed lotions to the treated areas for 24 hours

  • After 24 hours it is vital that you apply moisturiser to the skin on a daily basis

  • Do not undertake any other skincare treatments within 48 hours of waxing

To ensure best results…..

  • Book in for regular treatments every 4-6 weeks depending on your hair growth

  • Do not shave between treatments, hair needs to be at least 5mm long for best results

  • Use an exfoliator once a week to help prevent any ingrowing hairs

  • It is quite normal to feel some slight soreness, have some small bumps and redness following waxing. This is a temporary reaction, especially if this is your first wax. You can apply aloe vera or ice to the treated area to help alleviate. Always wash your hands before applying any products.
